Spyderco's Delica has been a cornerstone of their everyday carry product line since its introduction in 1990. The 4th Generation of the Delica lightweight was upgraded with a 13 mm RoundHole, spine jimping, reinforced blade tip, skeletonized liners, Bi-Directional Textured FRN scales and a four-position screw on clip. This Saber Ground version comes with a plain edge, spear point, VG-10 blade with Emerson Wave opener and Dark Blue/Gray FRN handles.

Blade: Durable, saber ground VG10 stainless steel comes in a spear point profile with a razor sharp plain edge, fine satin finish and Emerson Wave feature for fast deployment on the draw. Spyderco's ambidextrous Round Hole opener also makes for smooth, easy, one hand operation for standard deployment. Present as well is the jimped thumb ramp for added control in both fine and heavy work. Just under 3 inches of blade makes this an excellent cutting tool for everyday carry, even in restrictive environments. The addition of the Wave feature to this Saber Ground Delica makes it a formidable tool for martial use as well.

Handle: Spyderco's Bi-directional textured FRN in a dark Blue/Gray offers exceptional traction in the hand with contoured edges and an ergonomic design that delivers comfort in the hand until the job is done. A sturdy mid-back lock design is easy to operate and comes with the Boye Dent further enhancing the security by preventing accidental disengagement of the lock when gripping the handle with heavy pressure. A hole at the pommel end allows for easy lanyard attachment.

Emerson Wave opening feature: An integral hook on the spine of the blade snags the pocket as the knife is drawn to quickly and automatically pivot the blade open. Invented by renowned custom knife maker Ernest Emerson, this patented device is licensed for use by Spyderco on several models.

Japanese VG10: VG-10 is a high-carbon stainless steel that takes a very good edge and holds it well. Popular with Japanese kitchen knife makers it is often hardened to 60-61 HRC. A popular choice for small pocket knives thanks to good edge holding and stain resistance VG10 works well with a high polished, acute edge for optimal slicing performance.
