Spyderco's Delica has been a cornerstone of their everyday carry product line since its introduction in 1990. The 4th Generation of the Delica lightweight was upgraded with a 13 mm RoundHole, spine jimping, reinforced blade tip, skeletonized liners, Bi-Directional Textured FRN scales and a four-position screw on clip. This Fully Flat Ground version comes with a plain edge, modified drop point blade of premium, Japanese ZDP-189 carbon steel and British Racing Green FRN handles.

Blade: Fully flat ground ZDP-189 carbon steel comes in a modified drop point with a razor sharp plain edge and stunning satin finish. Spyderco's ambidextrous Round Hole opener makes for smooth, easy, one hand operation. Present as well is the jimped thumb ramp for added control in both fine and heavy work. Just over 2.5 inches of cutting edge makes this an excellent cutting tool you will want to have with you every day.

Handle: Spyderco's Bi-directional textured FRN in British Racing Green offers exceptional traction in the hand with contoured edges and an ergonomic design that delivers comfort in the hand until the job is done. A sturdy mid-back lock design is easy to operate and comes with the Boye Dent further enhancing the security by preventing accidental disengagement of the lock when gripping the handle with heavy pressure. A hole at the pommel end allows for easy lanyard attachment.

Hitachi ZDP-189: A Japanese particle metallurgy steel ZDP-189 has an extremely high carbon (3%) and chromium content (20%). Capable of attaining a very high hardness 65 to 70 HRC, ZDP-189 also has a high carbide content (~30%) giving is very good edge holding (and moderate toughness) while still being relatively easy to sharpen. Despite 20% chromium content ZDP-189 has most of its chromium tied up in the hard carbides making it a non-stainless steel.
