Brand new, direct from Spyderco.
Blade: The saber ground blade utilizes VG-10 stainless steel for a great balance of edge retention and ease of sharpening with a high level of corrosion resistance. A classic drop point blade delivers excellent piercing performance with a robust tip that can still handle detail work with ease. The plain cutting edge is razor sharp for nice, clean cuts. A 13 mm RoundHole along with the high-speed Emerson Wave makes ambidextrous, one-hand operation a breeze even while wearing gloves. To engage the Wave simply drag the spine of the blade along the edge of your pocket as you draw the knife. The Wave will catch the edge of your pocket deploying the blade smoothly as you complete the draw.
Handle: Tough, lightweight black FRN comes equipped with Spyderco's trademark bi-directional texturing offering security in hand with over 4.5 inches of grip area. A classic lock back mechanism offers security in use and pair with the RoundHole opener and 4-Position clip making the Endela fully ambidextrous. Thanks to the slim profile and just over 3 oz weight, the Endela offers an exceptional Edge:Weight ratio.
Carries via a black, 4-position, stainless steel hour glass clip.
Japanese VG10: VG-10 is a high-carbon stainless steel that takes a very good edge and holds it well. Popular with Japanese kitchen knife makers it is often hardened to 60-61 HRC. A popular choice for small pocket knives thanks to good edge holding and stain resistance, VG10 works well with a high polished, acute edge for optimal slicing performance.
