A bit bigger and broader than its female counterpart, the Spyderco Manbug offers a similarly compact package that easily attaches to your keychain or drops into the pocket or bag for everyday carry, offering an efficient cutting tool in an ultra ultra-lightweight package. The fully flat ground blade has improved slicing geometry, punching above its weight class, being only 0.70 of an ounce thanks to the linerless fiberglass-reinforced nylon construction. As with the Ladybug, Spyderco's Bi-directional texturing ensures a secure grip with a mid-back lock for safety during use. This Wharncliffe version comes with Black FRN handles and a plain edge, VG10 stainless steel blade with black Titanium CarboNitride coating.

VG10: Takefu VG10 is a Japanese high-carbon stainless steel that takes a fine edge and holds it well. Edge retention and toughness are on par with 440C, with better corrosion resistance. Popular with Japanese kitchen knife makers, it is often hardened to 60-61 HRC. A solid choice for small pocket knives thanks to good edge holding, stain resistance, and ease of sharpening. An acute, high polished edge delivers optimal slicing performance.
