Designed by Sal Glesser to meet the requirements of a high-performance, light-weight folder designed for hard use, the Spyderco Military was an answer to the question: "If your son were going into the military what folding knife would you send him with?" The precursor to the popular EDC Paramilitary 2, the Military has a similar clip point blade, nested liners and G10 scales for a solid balance of lightweight durability and performance. Wherever life may take you, the Spyderco Military is a folding knife you can count on. This version comes with black G10 handle scales, a black DLC coated, plain edge, CPM-S30V blade and all black hardware and liners.

Blade: The blade of the Military has a full flat grind for powerful slicing performance with a robust 4 mm thickness and 3.75 inches of razor sharp plain cutting edge to handle the most demanding tasks. A large 14 mm trademark RoundHole offers ease of operation with gloves and creates a jimped choil and thumb ramp for optimal control in use. Operation is reliably smooth thanks to the durable bronze washer pivot.

Handle: Classic, peel ply Black G10 handle scales are supported by inset skeletonized stainless liners in an easy to maintain, open back construction delivering a large, solid and ergonomic handle framework with maximum strength and minimum weight. One liner forms the classic liner lock mechanism offering secure use and superior longevity. Construction is completed with black Torx hardware and a large hollow tube for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a single position, right hand, tip-down stainless steel pocket clip.

CPM-S30V: A powdered stainless steel with high levels of edge retention and corrosion resistance S30V was developed specifically for use in knife blades. The powdered process gives it a very refined grain, improving the sharpness and toughness. S30V is a great, all around steel with high levels of performance.
