Designed by Sal Glesser to meet the requirements of a high-performance, light-weight folder designed for hard use the Spyderco Military was an answer to the question: "If your son were going into the military what folding knife would you send him with?" The precursor to the popular EDC Paramilitary 2, the Military has a similar clip point blade with large RoundHole, nested stainless steel liners and G10 scales for a balance of lightweight durability and ease of maintenance. This version comes with a black DLC coated S30V blade and Digi Camo G10 handle scales.

Blade: The blade of the Military has a full flat grind with DLC finish and a razor sharp edge. Spyderco's large 14 mm RoundHole allows for ease of operation with gloves and a jimped choil and thumb ramp for optimal control. Operation is smooth thanks to rugged phosphor bronze washers reducing maintenance and increasing reliability.

Handle: Classic, peel ply Digi Camo G10 handle scales are supported by inset black stainless liners delivering a large, solid and ergonomic framework with maximum strength-to-weight ratio. One liner forms the liner lock mechanism for smooth operation and solid lockup. The construction is completed with black Torx hardware and a large tube for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a right hand, tip-down stainless steel pocket clip.

CPM-S30V: A powdered stainless steel with high levels of edge retention and corrosion resistance S30V was developed specifically for use in knife blades. The powdered process gives it a very refined grain, improving the sharpness and toughness. S30V is a great, all around steel with high levels of performance.
