Designed by Sal Glesser to meet the requirements of a high-performance, light-weight folder designed for hard use the Spyderco Military was an answer to the question: "If your son were going into the military what folding knife would you send him with?" The precursor to the popular EDC Paramilitary 2, the Military has a similar clip point blade with large 14 mm Round Hole for ease of operation with gloves and a jimped choil and thumb ramp for optimal control. Nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners support G10 scales for a solid balance of lightweight durability and ease of maintenance. Where ever life may take you the Spyderco Military is a folding knife you can count on. This version comes with dark blue G10 handle scales and an upgraded, CPM-S110V stainless steel blade.

Blade: The blade of the Military has a full flat grind with satin finish and a razor sharp edge. Spyderco's trademarked round hole opener is present and creates a nice resting place for the users thumb when open. Everything glides with ease on two bronze washers, making this knife a pleasure to both open and close.

Handle: Classic, peel ply Purple/Blue G10 handle scales are supported by inset skeletonized stainless liners and open spacers construction delivering a large, solid and ergonomic handle framework with maximum strength for the weight. One liner forms the classic liner lock mechanism for this knife for lengthy durability. Everything is tied together with Torx screw construction with a large hollow tube for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a single position, right hand, tip-down stainless steel pocket clip.

CPM-S110V: A high performance stainless steel, S110V has a high Chromium and Vanadium content offering exceptional corrosion resistance while providing high level wear resistance for extended edge retention in slicing. S110V is considered a direct upgrade to S90V in both corrosion and wear resistance. Diamond abrasives are recommended for sharpening.
