The latest addition to the Spyderco Native 5 family is a brand new Lightweight version with a Dark Blue FRN handle and premium CPM-S110V blade steel. The Native 5 is long heralded for it's size, shape and userability. It makes a fantastic EDC for those new to pocket knives and the life-long user alike. 

Blade: Done in a spear point-style with slight upper swedge grind for all-around utility. It is satin finished and features a full flat grind. Jimping on the spine and front choil make gripping the Native a pleasure. Familiar ambidextrous Spyderco Round Hole opener is good sized to accommodate even larger thumbs. Super steel blade ground to a very sharp cutting edge that will provide some of the best retention on the market.

Handle: Fiberglass reinforced nylon is a very tough, durable material. It makes the overall knife a lightweight for a reason. It won't weigh you down nor let you down. This one has Spyderco's latest coloring of Dark Blue with their Trademarked Bi-Directional texturing for a sure grip. The Native 5 has a lock back mechanism. It's very strong, easy to use and workable by righties and lefties.

CPM-S110V Stainless Steel: CPM-S110V is produced by Crucible Industries in New York state using the Crucilbe Particle Mettalurgy (CPM) process. The CPM process creates a very fine grained and dense steel with a uniform structure. CPM-S110V is considered a super stainless steel offering some of the best edge retention and wear resistance available as it contains a high volume of vanadium carbides. The steel will hold an edge far longer than other stainless offerings, but can also be a bear to sharpen for a novice.
