Eric and Sal Glesser designed the Spyderco Para 3 to meet demand for a smaller size of one of their most popular USA made models, the ParaMilitary 2. The Para 3 offers many of the same features in a more compact, sub-3” blade design. A great size for EDC in the field or office, this compression lock folder is small but mighty, able to handle your daily cutting tasks with ease.

Blade: Fully flat ground satin finished CPM REX 45 comes in an iconic straight spine clip point profile with a clean slicing plain edge. The blade opens via the ambidextrous large trademark RoundHole riding smooth on the durable bronze washers. Jimping at the thumb rest and index finger choil allow for superb control for fine tasks. 

Handle: Peel ply textured, chamfered burnt orange G10 scales house inset skeletonized stainless liners, one forming the Compression Lock mechanism. A generous palm swell, index groove and pinky hook offer comfortable ergonomics and a secure grip for most users.

Carries via a four position, stainless steel hourglass clip.

CPM Rex 45: CPM Rex 45 (similar to Hitachi HAP40) is a super-high-speed, particle metallurgy tool steel similar to CPM-M4. Higher levels of cobalt and tungsten allow for higher hardness and better strength, improving edge stability for thinner, high performance edges. Toughness and corrosion resistance are comparable to CPM-M4.

Compression Lock: Similar in construction to the Walker Liner Lock, the Compression lock uses a leaf style spring cut into the handle liner. The tang of the spring wedges between the blade tang and stop pin (or anvil pin) for exceptional lock strength, ease of operation and added safety, keeping fingers clear of the blade path during disengagement closing of the knife.
