Details

French custom knife maker and martial artist Fred Perrin teams up with Spyderco to deliver a compact, discreet and remarkably capable fixed blade neck knife in the Subway Bowie. With years of practical design and development by Perrin the Subway Bowie is ideal for daily carry and well suited for general use and self-defense. This version comes with a satin finished LC200N blade and black handle.

Brand new, direct from Spyderco.

Blade: Satin finished LC200N comes in a sub-3 inch straight spine clip point blade profile ideal for martial and utility use. A high saber grind provides a balance of strength and performance on the 3 mm blade with jimping on the spine for traction and a generous choil forming a guard for added safety.

Handle: The FRN polymer handle is molded directly to the blade tang for a seamless construction featuring Perrin’s signature index choil for exceptional security and control. Compact and comfortable the handle makes for discreet carry and allows multiple grip positions.

Sheath: Carries via a molded Boltaron polymer sheath with breakaway ball chain.

LC200N: LC200N (A.K.A. Cronidur 30 or Z-FiNit) is a high nitrogen alloy steel produced using PESR (pressurized electro-slag remelting) technology, delivering a pure steel with fine microstructure. Used by NASA for ball bearings, LC200N offers excellent corrosion resistance, toughness, and ease of sharpening for knife blades with edge retention better than other steels with comparable qualities (between AEB-L and VG10).
