The Spyderco Stretch 2 Sprint Run Blue Grey with V-Toku2/SUS 410 Laminate Steel is a limited edition of a unique Spyderco, a purpose built folding hunter from the mind of Spyderco founder Sal Glesser. This drop point profile, lock back folder may have been designed as a folding hunter but works exceptionally well as an every day carry. As with all Sprint Run pieces this knife only be around for a limited time!

Blade: The fully flat ground, drop point blade utilizes a V-Toku2/SUS 410 stainless laminate steel. VTOKU2 is a tough carbon steel with Vanadium, Chromium and Tungsten added to enhance edge retention. Thanks to the toughness of this steel it is able to hold a very fine, razor-like edge that comes in at just under 3 inches. Jimping on the 50/50 choil and thumb ramp allow for optimal control during fine cutting tasks. The core is clad in layers of SUS 410 martensitic stainless steel which provides additional toughness and corrosion resistance. The transition between the core and outer layers is visible just above the blade's cutting edge and as the carbon steel patinas over time the transition will become more dramatic much like the hamon of a traditional Japanese blade.

Handle: Tough, lightweight FRN with equipped with Spyderco's trademark bi-directional texturing offers security in hand even in such a small package and come in a handsome Blue Grey color. A classic lock back mechanism offers security in use. Paired with the classic back lock the 4-Position Hour Glass clip offers multiple carry options for both left and right handed users. The ergonomic handle design offer a high level of comfort and security making the Stretch a solid choice for extended cutting work.

V-Toku2 Carbon Steel: V-Toku2 is made with Swedish Ore which makes it a very high purity carbon steel. The addition of Vanadium, Chromium and Tungsten offer enhance edge retention and allow for a very high hardness for even greater performance. V-Toku2 retains a high level of toughness even at high hardness meaning you can run a finer edge for excellent cutting performance without the worry of damage through carbide tear out.
