The Spyderco Straight Spine Stretch 2 is a purpose built folding hunter from the mind of Spyderco founder Sal Glesser. This version substitutes the classic drop point blade with a straight spine clip blade reminiscent of the iconic Paramilitary 2. Designed as a folding hunter, the Stretch 2 is also exceptionally well suited to everyday carry comes equipped with handsome Bi-Directional textured FRN handle scales for a secure grip. This version comes with a satin finished, Bohler K390 tool steel blade and Dark Cyan Blue FRN handles.

Blade: The fully flat ground, straight spine blade is made from Bohler K390 tool steel for high performance edge retention with good toughness and some corrosion resistance for a non-stainless tool steel. The thin, flat ground blade slices like a razor and has exceptional edge retention for true steel connoisseurs. Jimping on the 50/50 choil and thumb ramp allow for optimal control during use. A 14 mm Spyderco Round hole offers fast and easy deployment for both right and left-handed users.

Handle: Tough, lightweight and weather resistant Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon or FRN equipped with Spyderco's trademark bi-directional texturing offers optimal traction in most adverse conditions. The Stretch handle design is built for security and comfort during extended use. Solid and timeless, the mid-back lock mechanism offers security during use and makes the knife fully ambidextrous with a Boye Dent for added safety under pressure. A thorough clip hole allows for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a 4-Position Stainless steel pocket clip for ambidextrous carry.

Bohler K390: Bohler K390 is high wear tool steel made with 3rd Gen particle metallurgy processing developed to provide the extreme wear resistance and high compressive strength needed in industrial cutting, blanking, and punching operations. K390 offers very high level edge retention, comparable to 10V or S110V, with good toughness. Corrosion resistance is low, similar to M4.
