Details

Taking inspiration from the groundbreaking innovations of French knife maker Fred Perrin, Spyderco founder Sal Glesser designed the Swick as a purpose built personal-defense tool. The Perrin inspired index finger hole is the most iconic feature and locks the knife into the user’s hand for superior security in the hand. The Small Swick 6 is sized for a woman’s hand with a 0.91-inch diameter hole paired with peel-ply textured G10 scales. A fully flat ground, full tang Wharncliffe blade is made from ultra corrosion resistant LC200N for minimal maintenance with maximum performance and durability. This version comes with a satin finished fully SpyderEdge serrated blade.

Brand new, direct from Spyderco.

Blade: With just under 2.5 inches of fully SpyderEdge serrated cutting edge, the fully flat ground Wharncliffe blade offers powerful performance for both piercing and slicing, delivering force from tip to heel. SpyderEdge serrations deliver up to 24% more cutting surface and make short work of tough, fibrous materials. The negative blade angle, thumb scoop and rock solid pistol grip help to deliver even more leverage for powerful slicing with a more neutral wrist position for reduced fatigue in utility work.

Handle: The full tang construction supports peel-ply textured, black G10 handle scales that pair with the 0.91-inch diameter hole for an exceptional secure pistol-style grip and fast draw under stress. A jimped thumb scoop offers added traction while the pointed, exposed pommel end can be used as an impact tool and is milled with a hole for lanyard attachment.

Sheath:  Carries via a secure, molded Boltaron sheath equipped with Spyderco's G-Clip and breakaway ball chain for multiple carry positions.

LC200N: LC200N is a high nitrogen, alloyed tool steel produced using PESR (pressurized electro-slag remelting) technology delivering a pure alloy with fine microstructure. This steel has been used in knives for some time and even longer by NASA for ball bearings. LC200N offers excellent corrosion resistance, toughness, and ease of sharpening with edge retention better than other steels with comparable qualities. Maximum working hardness in 60-62HRC range. Also sold as Cronidur 30 or Z-FiNit (Zapp Fine Grain Nitrogen steel).
