Everything you know and love about the Spyderco Techno 2 now comes with the laser-like cutting performance afforded by a custom Tom Krein Regrind.

Polish knife maker Marcin Slysz and Spyderco have had a very productive relationship with the Techno, Slysz Bowie, Spydiechef and now the Techno 2. The Techno 2 is based on Marcin's 'Mouse' design and sports a more linear Sheepsfoot blade, thinner overall profile and open, barrel spacer construction. This robust EDC is sure to be a winner.

Blade: The Sheepsfoot blade is equipped with a high height saber grind for strength while the tall height and CTS XHP blade steel provides excellent slicing performance. The tip, while subtle, still offers enough point for piercing tasks while being safer and more robust than other blade grinds. The blade is finished in an attractive Stonewash finish that hides wear over time and is deployed via the trademark SpyderHole.

Handle: While the blade of the Techno 2 has been slimmed down for enhanced performance the titanium handle slabs have been beefed up for improved strength. Still in evidence on the Techno 2 are an acid etched and tumbled finish, chamfered corners and a robust RIL frame lock. The blue backspacer has been switched out for jewel green barrel spacers for a fully open back construction making cleaning and maintenance a breeze.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up, wire deep carry clip.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon stainless steel that combines the exceptional corrosion resistance of 440C and wear resistance similar to D2. Thanks to the unique composition and its ability to attain a high hardness, CTS XHP has edge retention somewhere between S30V and ZDP 189. An excellent choice for any knife that is going to see a lot of use.
