The YoJumbo builds on the success of Michael Janich’s immensely popular Yojimbo 2. Meeting the requests of legions of devoted followers, the YoJumbo increases the size by over 20 percent and refines the ergonomics for a wider range of hand sizes. The formidable Wharncliffe blade retains the powerful hollow ground edge geometry and while the G10 scales are now coarse-textured for enhanced traction. This version has a satin finished blade, matching liners and hardware and black scales.

Blade: A powerful hollow ground Wharncliffe blade offers a more robust tip than a full flat grind and nearly a full inch more cutting edge over its predecessor. A thumb scoop transitions from blade to handle over the pivot to deliver solid pressure from heel to tip with enhanced ergonomics. A satin finish gives this blade a classy, high performance look. The ambidextrous Round Hole allows for deployment from multiple grip positions, even in gloves.

Handle: Inset, skeletonized stainless steel liners support coarse textured G10 scales for a handle that is rock solid and secure in use. The high strength Compression Lock delivers smooth operation and is reliably secure during heavy use. A generous index guard and ergonomic finger grooves offer added safety in multiple grips.

Carries via a 4-Position stainless steel pocket clip.

CPM-S30V: A PM stainless steel developed specifically for use in knife blades, S30V has good wear resistance (edge retention) and corrosion resistance, better than 440C or 420HC. The powdered process refines the grain, improving performance for a balanced blade steel. Toughness is comparable to other PM stainless steels.

Compression Lock: Similar in construction to the Walker Liner Lock, the Compression lock uses a leaf style spring cut into the handle liner. The tang of the spring wedges between the blade tang and stop pin (or anvil pin) for exceptional lock strength, ease of operation and added safety, keeping fingers clear of the blade path during disengagement closing of the knife.
