This handsome new Synergy by maker Steven Kelly of S.K. Knives is an imposing piece with an aggressive, 3V/XHP Damascus harpoon Tanto blade, dark titanium bolsters and marbled carbon fiber scales. Fit and finish is pristine with custom Darkened Titanium hardware from TiConnector hardware and custom, stylized 3D machined titanium pocket clip. For carry or collection the Synergy is more than the sum of its parts.

The Blade: The powerful compound ground harpoon Tanto blade is made from stainless Nichols Damascus, a combination of CPM 3V and CTS XHP, for excellent performance in corrosion resistance, wear resistance and toughness. The blade sports a subdued two-tone finish with darker grinds and brighter flats. The blade rides on a bronze washers for a fluid feel and deploys via dual titanium thumb studs. A gentle thumb ramp rides up to a crowned spine that rides right to the end of the top swedge. A shallow hollow grind delivers slicing performance that works well with the Wharncliffe profile for a high-performance blade.

The Handle: Robust, bronze anodized titanium liners are blasted for a matte finish and support dark blasted titanium bolsters that are dove tailed to sleek, marbled carbon fiber handle scales. The secure liner lock mechanism is flawlessly executed for smooth, reliable operation. Custom TiConnector hardware in darkened titanium completes the construction with a bronze anodized custom pivot rounding out the stealthy look. Texturing on the lock bar cutouts adds a subtle custom touch.
