Details
The SVORD Knives British Army pattern Golok is a short, heavy chopping blade similar to a machete. Originally an agricultural tool and weapon this pattern comes from the Malay Archipelago by way of Great Britain and New Zealand. If you need a fast and capable chopping tool to handle a variety of tasks the British Army Golok is an ideal choice. This piece has a full tang Swedish carbon steel blade and black canvas Micarta handle scales.
Brand new, direct from SVORD Knives.
Blade: The Sheepsfoot like blade of the Golok gives it full thickness (~3 mm) nearly the full length of the blade, enhancing strength and forward weight for chopping. A satin finished convex offers powerful chopping performance with strop-friendly maintenance. Forge finished flats are practical and appealing.
Handle: Black canvas Micarta handle scales come attached via strong Corby bolts to the full tang over red fiber liners. Micarta is tough and delivers plenty of traction even when wet. Holes allow for lanyard attachment for added security in use.
Sheath: Carries via a leather drop loop belt sheath.
Swedish Carbon Steel: Either 15N20 or L6, this is a simple high nickel carbon steel similar to 1084. Takes a fine, razor like edge with high toughness. Low edge retention and corrosion resistance.
