Details
The Tidioute Cutlery #77 Yankee Jack by Great Eastern Cutlery has a tear drop shaped body with a dark red micarta handle. Tidioute knives are known for their excellent fit and finish. The knife boasts two blades, a primary spear and secondary pen, both are frozen forged and hammer tested 1095 carbon steel. As this GEC 77 pattern is a part of the Tidioute brand family, the blades have been satin finished. Strong backsprings and pronounced half stops are nods to GEC's functional detail.
A smooth micarta handle has been attached to brass liners with brass pin construction. The liners and backsprings are tightly put together with no gaps and the micarta and nickel silver bolsters are all flush. A smooth shield adorns the frontside of the handle as well.
Great Eastern knives are packaged in a unique tube packaging and wrapped in wax paper to help protect the carbon blades during shipping and storage. A light coating of oil will be necessary to maintain the blade over time.
