Description:
The Tidioute #72 Cody Scout is a rare locking knife from GEC. A solid backlock keeps the clip-point blade securely locked in place for when you need to do some serious cutting. An ergonomic handle helps reduce fatigue and locks the Cody Scout into your hand. An excellent knife for someone wanting to carry a traditional knife that can be put to use without the worry of it closing on their precious fingers. As with all GEC knives, it's also a welcome addition to the collection and an awesome tribute to traditional knives of old.
1095 Carbon Steel: Popular, simple carbon steel used extensively by production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear (edge retention) due to low carbide content and easy to sharpen to a fine edge. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care. Some makers use a differential heat treat process which delivers a harder edge and tougher spine for enhanced performance.
