The Advocate is a custom clip point fixed blade from maker Tom Krein that he describes as "a perfect person tactical blade." A classic, Bowie-style clip point blade is paired with Krein's signature ergonomic handle design and performance-oriented hollow grind geometry. The Advocate makes a great outdoor and hunting knife as well and is a slicing powerhouse. This version comes with a tumbled, acid washed D2 tool steel blade and blasted Orange and Black G10 handle scales with milled holes for traction.

Blade: The Bowie-style clip point blade delivers exceptional slicing power with Tom's performance-driven geometry in a relatively compact, easy to carry package. The tumbled, acid washed D2 tool steel blade is hollow ground to deliver a very fine edge that provides excellent cutting performance with a tall blade height for good durability at the spine. A top swedge tapers to deliver a fine tip for piercing and detail work. The full tang construction enhances the overall strength of this tactical fixed blade. Finished with the Krein Knives Logo and D2 marked on the blade the tumbled acid wash hides wear and is discreetly non-reflective. An integrated index guard pairs with Tom's iconic handle design and spine jimping for security in the hand. This is a great companion for outdoor field work or everyday carry.

Handle: Ergonomically designed, blasted Orange and Black layered G10 handle scales are contoured for unparalleled comfort in the hand with bead blast texturing to enhance traction. Shaped with two subtle finger grooves, the handle design locks the hand in without compromising versatility for multiple grips. Milled and chamfered holes in the handle provide traction while reducing weight for carry. Scales are attached via a blasted Torx hardware with a rear hole for lanyard attachment.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die-cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all-around knife steel.
