A hybrid of his Pocket Bowie and Hydra models, the Tom Krein custom Tusk is a compact, daily carry fixed blade Bowie that delivers a discreet carry with powerful performance. The Tusk features Krein's signature ergonomic handle and performance oriented hollow grind and is ideal for everyday utility and defense. This version comes with an acid washed CTS-XHP blade and blasted orange G10 handle scales over black liners with speed hole milling and black Micarta pins.

Blade: The sub-3 inch hollow ground clip point blade has a classic Bowie profile with good belly, a fine piercing tip and a performance-driven hollow grind for excellent performance. Acid washed XHP hides wear from use and is discreetly non-reflective. The integral index guard pairs with a generous handle cutout for optimal safety making this a great daily carry companion.

Handle: Ergonomically designed, blasted G10 handle scales are contoured for unparalleled comfort. Shaped with a generous pommel swell and milled with weight reducing and traction enhancing speed holes, the handle design locks the hand in without compromising versatility for multiple grips. The scales are attached via black Micarta pins and a hollow lanyard tube.

Sheath: Carries via a custom molded Kydex sheath with large Tek-Lok.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon steel that was developed to combine the corrosion resistance of 440C and hardness of D2. It offers good hardness with toughness-edge retention balance, both being better than S35VN with easier sharpening. Corrosion resistance is closer to 3V than 440C, making it more of a semi-stainless.
