TOPS A-Klub Amanda Kaye Tungsten 1095 Green Canvas Micarta Kukuri Fixed Blade AKLB-02

Designed by Amanda Kaye, best known for her appearance on Discovery's Naked and Afraid, the A-Klub is a singular take on the classic Kukuri by TOPS Knives' first female designer. Her design was inspired by the Native American gun stock war club and bares some resemblance while retaining the functional elements of the forward weighted, chopping powerhouse, the Nepalese Kukuri. The construction is TOPS differentially heat treated 1095 carbon steel with Tungsten Cerakote coating and green canvas Micarta handle scales.

Blade: Built with 3/16" thick, differentially heat treated 1095 high carbon tool steel, the blade of the A-Klub is finished with a non-reflective Tungsten Gray Cerakote with resists wear and corrosion while being discreetly non-reflective. The blade is robust with a saber grind and recurve cutting edge that terminates in a Tanto-like point. A weight forward design delivers A-level chopping performance while a prominent top swedge enhances piercing performance and jimping on the spine offers added traction for fine tasks.

Handle: The full tang construction supports generous, contoured Green Canvas Micarta handle scales attached via black oxide stainless steel Allen bolts over black liners. A forward finger choil allows the user to choke up on the blade for control with a distal tapered handle that helps lock the handle in the hand for heavy chopping work. A hollow pin is provided for lanyard attachment.

Sheath: Kydex with snap loop and leather dangler.

1095 Carbon Steel: A simple, extensively used carbon steel with low edge retention and corrosion resistance. Easy to sharpen to a fine edge, 1095 can be differentially heat treated (hard edge/soft spine) for optimized performance.
