Designed as a robust and capable "carry anywhere" fixed blade, the Desert Son is a perfect companion for EDC and outdoor adventures. TOPS delivers this stout little recurve in their time tested combination of black traction coated carbon steel blade with black linen Micarta handle scales and a Hunter's Point tip.

Blade: At over three inches in length the black traction coated 1095 carbon steel blade offers plenty of edge for a variety of tasks with a powerful slicing recurve ideal for skinning, woodcraft and rope cutting. The Hunter's Point profile has a piercing tip for detail work and a durable high saber grind. The non-reflective black coating offers some corrosion resistance and makes the knife discreet in use.

Handle: The compact handle delivers a full grip with a small carry footprint. Hollow brass pins attach the linen Micarta scales over contrasting liners for a classic TOPS style and plenty of traction even when wet. Strategic jimping offers added security along with the thumb ramp and forward guard.

Sheath: Carries via a Kydex sheath with removable spring clip.

1095 Carbon Steel: A simple, extensively used carbon steel with low edge retention and corrosion resistance. Easy to sharpen to a fine edge, TOPS utilizes a differential heat treat (harder edge, softer spine) for better performance.
