Coming in at only 1/16" thick 1095 high carbon tool steel and barely weighing 3.5 ounces, the FMS is a lightweight slicer with solid construction. The thinner steel allows for clean, smooth cuts with added flexibility over thicker kitchen knives while providing over 5 inches of cutting length. The full tang (9 1/2" overall) is Black River Washed for protection with ergonomic tan canvas micarta (grip when wet or dry) scales over red fiber liners for a comfortable feel in hand. The steep curve in the edge makes slicing a breeze while the wide heel allows for deep searing cuts. The tip is ideal for boning meats such as chicken and pork or filleting fish. The thinnest knife in the TOPS lineup is great for your pack, camper or kitchen. Includes a Kydex sheath with rotating steel spring clip.
