TOPS BAJA 4.5 Reserve Edition Tan Canvas Micarta Fixed Blade Knife

A marriage of clean, simple design and high tolerance execution makes the Baja 4.5 from TOPS tough enough to rely on, even in extreme region from which it takes its name. This Reserve Edition retains the same 4.5 inch, full tang, 1095 carbon steel construction and Micarta scales for time-tested performance. A non-reflective, Black Traction powder coat finish enhances corrosion resistance while the Tan Canvas Micarta offers performance and rugged good looks that fit in nearly any environment.

Blade: Made from TOPS differentially heat treated 1095 carbon steel, the flat ground drop point blade offers good slicing and piercing performance balanced with the durability of the 4 mm blade. Finished in a tough, non-reflective Black Traction powder coat, the blade gains enhanced corrosion resistance while being discreet in use. Jimping on the spine delivers traction which pairs well with the index guard for added security in use.

Handle: All-weather Tan Canvas Micarta handle slabs offer all weather traction and durability with a great feel in the hand. Attached over contrasting white liners with black hardware, the slabs are contoured for comfort during extended cutting tasks. The handles are also milled with grooves for added traction and divots for use with a bow drill. A hollow aluminum pin is provided for lanyard attachment.

Sheath: Carries via a double-stitched, brown leather belt sheath with drop loop and Ferro rod (included) holder.

1095 High Carbon Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care. TOPS offers their 1095 with a differential heat treatment that optimized blade performance at the edge and durability at the spine.
