The traditional kukri (khukri or khukuri) was a weapon and tool for Nepalese people at home and around the world. The TOPS CUMA TAK-RI (tactical kukri) has taken the curved, forward weight blade and delivered it in a wildly different, yet highly functional design. Developed in collaboration with CQC expert Sijo Waysun Johnny Tsai (CUMA Tactical Street Defense program) and Brent Beshara (BESH wedge) the CUMA TAK-RI makes an exceptionally powerful weapon while still being a fully functional outdoor survival tool. Pair that with TOPS' tried and true 1095 high carbon steel, black traction coating and black linen Micarta handle scales and you've got an amazingly robust tool to tackle nearly anything.

Blade: The big bellied blade is made of 3/16 inch thick 1095 high carbon steel with black traction coating for durable corrosion resistance. A forward weighted design makes this a powerful chopper with "shark teeth" serrations to rip though anything that gets in its way and a partial top edge for reverse swings in martial use. This is a blade that can handle firewood chopping and shelter building, then seamlessly transition to combat use with excellent balance and speed.

Handle: A full tang construction supports black linen Micarta "scales" over white liners. Offering two grip options, a "long grip" for fully extended machete swings and a choked up grip for precision cuts or carving, the tang is very proud to the scales which make for low-profile carry while still providing good comfort and traction. The pommel end features a small pry tool for scraping or impact use and a lanyard hole for added security.

Sheath: Carries via a MOLLE compatible black nylon sheath with accessory pouch and double Velcro loop closure.

1095 High Carbon Tool Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
