One such challenge was to develop a small knife with a narrow carrying profile which was both strong and lightweight. With this in mind, the Mil-SPIE line was born. The popular Mil-Spie 3.5 is a compact, robust and lightweight folder with easy to maintain construction and materials. A perfect choice for EDC at home or in the field, the Mil-SPIE offers TOPS quality and reliability in a folding knife platform. This version comes with a Black Traction coated, Hunter's Point, N690Co blade and tan aluminum handles.

Blade: Made from high quality, Bohler N690Co stainless steel, the Hunter's Point blade is nearly full flat ground with a recurve cutting edge for excellent slicing performance while maintaining good durability. A Black Traction coated finish makes the blade non-reflective for discreet use, while enhancing resistance to both corrosion and wear. Dual thumb studs offer smooth deployment on the integral washer construction, which allows for extremely low maintenance and exceptional reliability in adverse conditions.

Handle: Dual 6061-T6 aluminum slabs have chamfered edges for comfort and finished with a tan traction coating for good grip and an easy to maintain, non-reflective finish. A single, black coated, stainless steel liner forms the locking mechanism which is smooth, solid, and reliable. Milled holes reduce the overall weight while providing added traction along with strategically placed jimping. The all aluminum and stainless construction makes cleaning and maintenance a breeze.

Bohler N690Co: N690Co is a high quality stainless steel with performance similar to Japanese VG-10 with high level corrosion resistance, good edge retention and ease of sharpening.
