Blade: Made from tough 1095 High Carbon Tool Steel the Mini Tanimboca Puukko sports a modified Scandinavian grind with a small, convex micro bevel. Delivering excellent control for fine work, this grind adds durability at the edge thanks to the convex micro bevel. A 2.5 mm full tang construction offers solid cutting performance with reliable durability. A long clip running the length of the blade gives a more acute point that works great for making fire board divots as well as offing a 90 degree spine for ferro rod striking, making this knife a solid fire kit companion.

Handle: Contoured slabs of black canvas Micarta are attached to the full tang over contrasting red liners, securely attached with two hollow pins. Simple and comfortable in multiple grips, the handle keeps with the traditional design. Canvas Micarta provides a secure grip even when wet and is exceptionally durable and resistant to moisture. A distal taper allow for a secure grip but caution should be used due to the lack of a blade guard.

Sheath: Carries via a high quality leather sheath for tip-down neck carry or belt carry.

1095 High Carbon Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care. TOPS utilizes a differential heat treat process which delivers a harder edge and tougher spine.
