TOPS Silent Hero Sniper Grey 1095 Black Rocky Mountain Tread Micarta Fixed Blade HERO-03

The Silent Hero was designed by Anton Du Plessis (former Chief of Operations for the Specialized Interdiction Unit of the Silent Heroes Foundation) for use while combating the poaching crisis in South Africa. This knife was designed to be rugged and versatile while being light enough to carry and use without becoming worn out. The Silent Hero is a practical design suited to bushcraft, survival, and tactical use. This version comes with a blade of Sniper Grey Cerakote coated 1095 carbon steel and black canvas Micarta scales with Rocky Mountain Tread.

Blade: The broad drop point blade is versatile for light chopping tasks with a generous finger choil that allows a close grip for control in precise slicing work. Lanyard holes in the pommel and finger guard give the option for a safety cord to be added for additional grip and assist in lashing for an improvised spear. A durable Sniper Grey Cerakote coating resists wear and corrosion and is non-reflective for discreet use. 

Handle: Ergonomic, contoured black canvas Micarta scales sit over red liners, securely bolted in place for a solid construction. TOPS Rocky Mountain Tread milling delivers enhanced traction on the tactile Micarta with jimping on the spine for indexing and additional safety. A generous pommel swell gives the option for an extended grip adding leverage for chopping.

Sheath: Includes a leather belt sheath with snap loop.

1095 Carbon Steel: A popular, simple carbon steel, 1095 is used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear resistance and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care. TOPS utilizes a differential heat treat process which delivers a harder edge and tougher spine.
