TOPS Knives Steel Eagle Delta Class Tanto Acid Rain 1095 Sandwiched Micarta

The classic Steel Eagle design by TOPS Knives is iconic. What better way to pay tribute than some upgrades? The Delta Class does just that. This aggressive sawback Tanto piercer is known for destruction and persuasion. It features TOPS' wicked Acid Rain finish on the steel and an insanely cool "sandwiched" Micarta handle. The Steel Eagle does not bow, nor back down.

The Blade: This bruiser is crafted from hard working, easy sharpening tool steel for handling any chore around camp. The tanto point style comes in handy piercing, chopping, slashing and so much more. The Acid Rain (acid stonewash) finish on the Delta Class is the star of this show. It's gorgeous applying a dark grey with worn-in tumbling marks increases wear over time. Many features including a long blood groove on each side, insane sawback aggressive notches and a raised thumb ramp. What can't you do in the field with this blade?

The Handle: The Eagle's handle is stubby, yet palm filling and thick enough for even larger grips. Attached to the monster tang is a really cool "sandwiched" style micarta handle. TOPS first put down a base of black canvas micarta with tan canvas on top and a red liner sandwiched in between. They become one and are contoured perfectly to the steel. The grip is almost a double choil for a trigger finger hold with an upswept pommel that cradle's your fist. It has a few holes for attached cordage to wrap around your hand for an even tighter grip during heavy lifting.

The Sheath: Coyote Tan Kydex with a rotating spring steel clip. 

1095 High Carbon Tool Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
