TOPS Knives Team Jackal 5 Black 1095 Rocky Mountain Tread Black G-10

The Team Jackal 5 from TOPS Knives was built for those risking their lives when the you-know-what hits the fan. This is a hard-use blade that will not back down. It's thick, has ample cutting edge and feels great in hand. It is outfitted with detection protective black traction coated 1095 tool steel and Rocky Mountain Tread Black G-10 handle scales. 

The Blade: A piercing clip point on the Team Jackal secures its surroundings in numerous ways. It can perform more tasks than you ever hope to have to call it upon to do. The inclined thumb ramp is jimped for rest and grip with a subtle choil just before the edge. There is a faux upper swedge grind for increased piercing power and cutting for days with this chomper. 

The Handle: Thick black G-10 scales are contoured and grooved with TOPS' famous Rocky Mountain Tread texturing for one of the best grips in the business. The raised sections have a light texturing. One that will be comfortable with or without gloves. They are secured to the full tang with handsome brass screws over red fiber liners. Gives this stealthy Jackal some pop! The pommel is a bit exposed with notchiing creating a most excellent backup knocker in a pinch.

The Sheath: Black Kydex with a rotating spring steel clip for attachment to you or your gear. 

1095 High Carbon Tool Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
