Filling a niche role in the TOPS’ lineup the Unzipper, based on the popular Scandi Woodsman and Lioness models, is a reverse edge pikal knife that is especially effective when defending yourself in close quarters. Compact and easy to carry, this is an effective tool for pull cuts in both utility and defensive roles. This version comes with a black traction coated, 1095 carbon steel blade and milled black G10 handles.

Blade: The Persian-style trailing point blade sports a straight, reverse edge on the "spine" of the blade and an unsharpened forward "edge". Fully flat ground, the 1095 blade is razor sharp and delivers power from tip to heel much like a classic Wharncliffe. Black traction coating is tough, non-reflective and helps with corrosion resistance while the pronounced guard and strategic jimping prevent unintentional contact with the edge.

Handle: The full tang construction supports comfortable and ergonomic black G10 handle scales attached over contrasting red liners. Equipped with milled grooves for traction, the handles provide a secure grip even in adverse conditions. An exposed pommel end can be used as an impact tool and is milled with a hole for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a custom molded Kydex sheath with J-clip.

1095 High Carbon Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care. TOPS utilizes a differential heat treat process which delivers a harder edge and tougher spine.
