TOPS Knives MSK Rockies Edition Survival Knife

The TOPS Knives Mini Scandi Rockies Edition Survival knife, a perfect outdoors companion, has ditched the powder coat for a tumbled/clear Cerakote finish. At a hair over six inches, the MSK Survival is lightweight and won't take up too much room in your pack. Brand new from TOPS and a great addition to the MSK 2.5 family.

The Blade: Three inches of cutting power here for hunting and bushcraft chores. Modified Scandi Ground in that it has a 10 degree edge as opposed to the traditional Scandi zero. Two-tone finish to the blade with satin grinds and TOPS' dark heavily tumbled flats. The clear Cerakote overlay actually protects the high carbon content steel from corrosion. This type of grind should stay sharper longer than traditional V-grinds and will be relatively easy to sharpen in the field with a strop. It's also deceptively sharp. 

The Handle: Extremely ergonomic for its size. It doesn't quite fill the average size hand, but has comfortable finger grooves and a notched thumb on the spine to get a grip. Adding a lanyard through the hole in the end will extend the handle's overall grip. The scales are green canvas micarta contoured and lightly textured. They rest over white fiber liners for a nice overall package. Everything is secured to the tumbled tang with Allen screws and lanyard tube. 

The Mini Scandi Survival Rockies Edition is an excellent neck, boot or pack knife. It's made in the TOPS tradition of tough, smart blades. You will get a lot of work out of this small package. It comes with a sturdy coyote tan Kydex neck sheath with ball chain.
