Trash Panda Knives is a collaborative project including custom knife makers Aaron Frederick, John W Smith and CJ Smith that offers extreme hard use knives that are built to use and take on whatever you can throw at them. The Panda 1 is an XL Hunter or light chopper that is capable of extreme use thanks to a full tang construction of ultra tough CPM-3V. This Panda 1 is hollow ground with a stonewashed finish and Green Canvas Micarta handle scales. This Panda is a serious tool that is capable of everything from skinning and slicing to chopping and batoning.

Blade: The sweeping CPM 3V blade is finished with a rugged stone wash that hides wear from all the use you will put it through. A mid-height hollow grind delivers excellent slicing performance while retaining thickness at the spine for durability. A swedge tapers the point for piercing while keeping it robust enough for heavier use. The sweeping belly of the blade recalls the Alaskan Ulu knife and lends itself to skinning and game processing tasks.

Handle: The full tang blade supports a large, hand-filling handle of rugged Green Canvas Micarta. The handle forms an integral guard provides protection against the fingers sliding onto the blade and allows a close grip for fine work. The handle shape facilitates a variety of grips for different tasks from skinning to chopping and a large hole is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a large Tek-Lok equipped, custom molded Kydex sheath.

About CPM-3V: is a high carbon alloy steel that extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. The edge can be ground thin as it is tough enough to support a fine edge. 3V delivers the highest level of toughness while maintaining good edge retention.
