Innovative custom knife designer Snecx Tan has teamed up with WE Knives to offer a smaller, production version of his exquisite Buster design. Engineered to have a perfect balance in the hand, the Mini Buster is a marvelous feat of technical engineering in the form of an elegant and functional cutting tool. Sized for everyday carry, the Mini Buster is still a robust tool capable of some serious work thanks to 4 mm thick CPM-20CV blade and beefy titanium handle construction. This version comes with a Black Stonewashed CPM-20CV blade and Antique Bronze anodized titanium handles.

Blade: Coming in at 4 mm thick, the tall Wharncliffe blade has a nearly full flat grind to deliver exceptional slicing performance while retaining good durability. There is plenty of point for piercing while the straight cutting edge offers powerful slicing ability from tip to heel. Black Stonewashed PVD coating is discreetly non-reflective for a rugged, wear hiding look. Riding on a Caged Double Row Ceramic Ball Bearing pivot the blade deploys fast and smooth via the minimalist flipper tab. Decisive deployment is achieved via a hardened steel pin open detent system developed by Snecx. A hardened stainless steel pin is chamfered to offer smooth action and optimal detent tension while doubling as the lock interface much like the Ceramic Ball Detent utilized by Chris Reeve Knives.

Handle: Internally and externally milled and chamfered for ergonomics, the beefy titanium handle construction is surprisingly light weight and well-balanced. Finished in an Antique Bronze anodization the handle is sleek and stylish with a discreet look for carry and use. An integral frame lock mechanism with steel pin detent insert delivers smooth and reliable lockup for the life of the knife. Simple, utilitarian and ergonomic, the handle of the Mini Buster still retains a nice visual appeal enhanced by the contrasting raised back spacer. The back spacer is multi functional, delivering a more contoured feel in the hand, housing the additional height of the blade in the internally milled channel, protecting the cutting edge when closed and providing for an inline lanyard attachment point. Construction is completed with bronze anodized titanium hardware complementing the handle finish.

CPM 20CV: CPM 20CV is a highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless tool steel, an analog to Bohler's M390, and offers some of the best corrosion resistance and wear resistance in combination with a relative ease of sharpening. These properties along with a working hardness in the low 60s HRC make 20CV a prime choice among custom and production makers.
