Polish custom knife maker Ostap Hel brings his knife design skills to the premium production market with his new WE Knives collaboration the Mote titanium frame lock flipper. Simple and elegant in its design, the Mote is perfect for everyday carry thanks to the thin, utilitarian drop point blade and clean, ergonomic handle design. This version comes with a gray stonewashed CPM-S35VN blade and tumbled, black coated titanium handle with gold hardware.

Blade: Made from gray stonewashed CPM-S35VN, the drop point blade comes with a high saber grind and full length top swedge for balanced slicing and piercing performance with solid durability on the 2.6 mm blade. A long section of jimping on the spine offers added traction for control during use while a caged ceramic bearing pivot and well tuned detent provide fast, fluid flipper deployment.

Handle: Dual slabs of tumbled, black coated titanium form the semi-open back handle with deep chamfers for an ergonomic and contoured feel while maintaining a neutral design for comfort in multiple grip positions. The titanium frame lock is equipped with a hardened steel lock face insert for secure lockup and flawless operation for the life of the knife. Construction is completed with anodized titanium hardware and a jimped partial back spacer with inline lanyard pin.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up only, 3D machined titanium pocket clip.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V and the adjusted chemistry makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
