Custom maker Ray Laconico has teamed up with WE Knives to deliver a high-end production frame lock, the Esprit. Clean and elegant, this is a tough, hardworking folder that is a pleasure to use and carry. The wide spear point blade has two deployment options: classic thumb studs or modern front flipper, both with bearing pivot smoothness. Contoured handle slabs are comfortable for all day use. This version comes with a bead blasted CPM-20CV blade and flamed titanium handle slabs.

Blade: A broad spear point blade of satin finished CPM-20CV delivers exceptional performance and visual appeal. A high saber grind balances strength and slicing ability, while the spine swedge gives enhanced piercing power and a precise tip for detail work. Riding on a ceramic bearing pivot, blade operation is fluid with ambidextrous deployment via the dual titanium thumb studs for jimped front flipper when is fully hidden when open.

Handle: With generous palm swell and subtle index and pinky guards the contoured scales of the handle offer a blend of comfort and security with solid versatility. All titanium hardware and partial back spacer joint the two contoured slabs of solid titanium. The hardened steel lock face equipped frame lock is smooth and reliable in operation for the life of the knife. An inline lanyard pin and flush mount clip complete the construction.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, titanium deep carry clip.

CPM-20CV: CPM-20CV is an analog to Bohler M390 and CTS-204P that offers excellent wear-resistance (edge retention) and corrosion resistance while being relatively easy to sharpen. These properties along with a working hardness in the low 60s HRC make 20CV a prime choice among custom and production makers.
