Zero Tolerance 0640 Emerson Viper Design 20CV Green Carbon Fiber Titanium Frame Lock
The newest collaboration between Zero Tolerance and Emerson knives revives the retired Viper design with upgrades for the modern age. The Emerson design is clean for low-drag carry and high-speed deployment. It is equipped with a high performance CPM 20CV blade and Green and Black Carbon fiber overlays on titanium liners.
Brand new directly from Zero Tolerance knives.
Blade: As a daily carry it doesn't get much better than the slim, clip point shaped blade present on this knife. The blade has reliable, ambidextrous deployment via the Emerson-style thumb disk and phosphor bronze washer pivot that is tough and low maintenance. The satin finished 20CV blade delivers optimal corrosion resistance and edge retention while the high saber grind and sweeping top swedge offer a durable blade that slices and pierces with authority.
Handle: Dual Green and black carbon fiber overlays add style to the coffin-shaped handle and are supported by slim yet robust titanium slabs which also make up the integral frame lock which is equipped with a steel lock face insert for optimal performance. Contoured edges make for a highly ergonomic handle that is neutral in design lending it to a variety of grips. Strategically placed jimping offers secure traction in hand.
Carries via a reversible, tip-up pocket clip.
CPM 20CV: This super stainless steel is the Crucible analog of Bohler M390 and offers the same great wear resistance and corrosion resistance while being relatively easy to sharpen and taking a very fine edge. 20CV works well with both course and polished edge finishes but 15°per side is needed to support the hard carbides that give 20CV its high-end cutting performance.
