Details
The Stockman is believed to be a scaled down version of the Cattleman pattern and shares similarities in the design. Also known as a 'Jumbo' or 'Big' Stockman, the Large Stockman is the largest of this pattern and comes with a main clip point blade and two auxiliary blades. This version comes with beautiful, rugged Peach Seed Jigged Amber Bone covers and polished Tru-Sharp blades.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.
Blades: The Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades are finished in a bright polish and are each equipped with a generous nail nick for opening. This version comes with the traditional Stockman Trio: a long clip point main blade, with a spey and sheepsfoot blade as backup. All three come with a shallow hollow grind for optimal slicing performance.
Handles: Nickel Silver bolsters frame the Amber Bone Peach Seed Jig covers fitted with brass pins to brass liners. The front cover sports a classic Oval Shield. Sturdy back springs offer simple, smooth slip joint operation for use.
Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
