The Peanut is a small, round-ended serpentine jack knife that was introduced sometime before 1915. Named after the compact, petite size, most modern versions of this knife have a primary clip point blade. If there is a secondary blade it will be either a pen, as seen on this version, or a spey blade. Both the clip and pen blades are attached to the same end of the knife much like a Trapper. This version comes with rugged Pocket Worn Harvest Orange Corn Cob Jig Bone covers and a Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades.

Blade: The primary, long Clip Point blade has a shallow hollow grind for excellent slicing and versatility with a tapering clip for piercing. The secondary Pen blade is perfect for fine or detail orientated work. Made from Tru-Sharp stainless steel with a mirror satin finish, the blades are easy to maintain and offer excellent utility in a compact package with well-balanced durability and performance. Solid back springs offer smooth slip joint operation.

Handle: The rugged Pocket Worn Harvest Orange Corn Cob Jig Bone covers are fit between two sets of polished nickel silver bolster and have a great in-hand feel. The covers are attached with brass pins to brass liners in the traditional style. The front cover sports an embossed Case Oval Script Shield with smooth, simple and secure slip-joint operation with half-stop for added safety.

Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel: Case's proprietary version of 420HC. Stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough. With proper heat treat it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
