Direware S-90 Flipper Marbled Carbon Fiber and Titanium M390

This Direware S-90 model pretty much defines the tank-like genre of overbuilt knives which have become popular in recent years. Made from only the best materials it is built to perfection using thick blade stock and scale material and has a pronounced opening action which will surely turn some heads. Direware builds them one at a time making each knife unique in its own right.

The Blade: The S-90 packs a wide spear shaped blade into a frame that makes this larger folder feel smaller than it really is. It has hollow ground satin grinds with tumbled flats and thins out into a seriously sharp edge.

The Handle: Super thick marbled carbon fiber was used on this knife, with the lock side consisting of heavy blasted titanium with a light texture. Comes standard with a thick machined titanium clip which can be reversed for tip up or down carry.

About M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
