General Info

Purchasing

We offer two methods for purchasing items. Customers may place orders using our secure site or by calling our toll-free line at 1-866-667-5965. To check product availability, or product information please email us at gpk@gpknives.com.


We do our best to accurately describe products listed on our website. If you receive an item listed uncorrectly we will gladly accept a return, or issue a replacement, as well as cover ground shipping costs. We do not cover any expedited shipping costs for any reason.


Please check your local and state laws before ordering. It is the obligation of the buyer to ascertain and comply with all laws that apply to your area.

Payment

All prices listed on our website are in US Dollars. Illinois residents will be charged a 6.85% sales tax. We currently accept the following forms of payment:

  • Credit Cards (Mastercard/Visa/Discover)
  • Postal Money Order
    - Payments are sent to the address listed on our Contact Info page.
    - Payments must clear before we will ship the product.

Back Orders

From time to time we may run out of an item, if this occurs we will place the item on backorder and notify you via email. Backorders may be cancelled at any time prior to the product's shipment by contacting us. Orders placed with a credit card are not billed until the items are sent to you. For security reasons money orders are banked immediately upon receival. Due to problems in the past, all orders placed by money order are considered final, and may not be changed while the money order is in transit.

Pre-Orders

Occasionally we offer pre-orders to speed up delivery of hot new products to our customers. Pre-Orders are served on a first come, first serve basis. These types of orders will be billed and shipped upon arrival, and are only returnable if the product is defective. This is to prevent the abuse of our pre-order system. Pre-Orders may be cancelled at any time by contacting us via phone or email. As with our backorder policy, your card will not be charged until the product has been shipped. Please do not place pre-orders unless you are 100% sure you wish to follow thru with the order on our site.

Sale Items

Due to the limited supply of some sale items, products ordered that are currently out of stock may not be backordered. For current stock feel free to call us toll free or email us for availability.

Shipping

General Info

All domestic packages shipped via UPS and USPS are insured for their full value. If a package shipped through either carrier becomes lost before being delivered to a resident of the household GPKNIVES, LLC will file the proper claims and attempt to replace the items pending the claim. Under most circumstances we must wait approximately 7-10 days past the expected shipping date before we can file a claim.

Shipping Times

All goods in stock generally ship within 24 hours (excluding weekends) of receiving your order, however in rare cases it make take up to 48 hours to process the shipment. In the case of orders placed using a money order we must allow these payments to clear before shipping.

Expedited Shipping

We do offer expedited shipping for customers needing a faster shipping time. Please note that although we offer this service, we do not take any responsibility for missed delivery dates, nor do we offer any refunds on this service for any reason as once the shipment leaves our facility it is out of our control. This includes items needed as gifts. We maintain every effort to provide a high level of service and assure we ship items correctly the first time. We only offer ground shipping for any errors in shipment. Customer assumes all risk of shipping when asking for an expedited order. For priority shipments using Next Day or Second Day Air orders must be received by 12PM noon CST in order to be processed same day. Please call ahead to verify stock availability when using any Air shipping method.

Freight Forwarders / Temporary Addresses

Due to the high rate of fraudulent orders associated with these addresses we will not ship to any freight forwarders or temporary addresses. This includes hotels.

Free Shipping

We are now offering free shipping for all orders over $150.00 (excluding tax). This offer is good for all orders placed within the 50 US States. The actual shipping method will be chosen at our discretion. We generally use USPS First Class Mail, USPS Priority Mail and UPS Ground. Special requests are not available on the free shipping method, this includes signature requests. This offer is good for ground shipments only. All refunds/returns for products purchased using the free shipping option will be credited back less our shipping expense.

UPS Shipping

  • All UPS freight is charged actual cost as calculated through our website.
    This includes all insurance, packaging, and handling fees.
  • Estimated shipping times will vary based on the method selected. Priority Shipments (those using Next Day, Second Day, or 3 Day Select) will be shipped the same day if placed before 12PM Noon CST.
  • We are unable to ship using this method on Saturdays.
    It should also be noted that UPS does not move freight over the weekends, shipments placed using Next Day Air on Friday will be delivered the following Monday.
  • If you are shipping to a P.O. Box you must use the Priority Mail option, as UPS does not deliver to these addresses.
  • Insurance is included in the cost of shipping.

UPS Estimated Shipping Times Map

USPS Priority Mail

  • Minimum freight for USPS Priority shipping is $5.99.
  • Packages above 2 pounds or over $50.00 may have additional charges due to shipping or insurance as calculated through our shopping cart.
  • Estimated shipping time is 2-4 days, dependant upon your location.
  • Insurance is included in the price of shipping

USPS Express Mail Canada

  • Minimum freight for USPS Express Mail to Canada is $26.95.
  • There is an additional charge of $3.00 per pound as calculated through our shopping cart.
  • Estimated shipping time is 5-7 days, dependant upon your location.

Canadian Orders

All orders are shipped via USPS Express Mail. Due to certain restrictions, some items larger than 36" may not be shippable to Canada, and we will not ship Balisong knives at this time. At our discretion, knives may have their pivot pins tightened to avoid problems in customs. Orders placed using this method are only shippable to the verified billing address as determined thru our card processor. Please note, any brokerage or customs fees are the responsibility of the customer, and we are not responsible for packages once they have crossed the customs border. All risk in these situations is passed to the customer. Also note, due to the shipping fees associated with shipping items to Canada, we ask all customers deal with any warranty issues directly with the manufacturer. Please note items over 42" may not be shipped to Canada.

International Orders

We ship internationally to select countries at our discretion. If your country is not in our country list upon checkout we do not currently ship to your location. The following terms and conditions apply to all international orders. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • Minimum freight for USPS Express Mail International is $43.95. This is the only way we ship out of country.
  • There is an additional charge of $5.00 per pound as calculated through our shopping cart.
  • The minimum order we will ship is $100.00.
  • Customs fees are the customer's responsibility.
  • Orders may require a faxed or emailed copy of the customer's passport at our discretion. Fax to (618)667-7231 or email to gpk@gpknives.com.
  • We only ship to the credit card billing address as verified through our processor.
  • No balisongs may be shipped internationally.
  • Pivot screws may be tightened down at our discretion.
  • We guarantee delivery up to customs. Past that is the customer's responsibility. We are not responsible for losses due to customs.
  • All items are declared and insured for their full value. Generally this means "Folding Knife" or similar on the customs declaration. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Items larger than 36" will not be shipped internationally.
  • Warranty issues, defects or otherwise must be dealt with directly with the manufacturer.
  • No Returns on ANY international orders. Please see above.
  • Due to the nature of International Orders, we must wait 30-45 days after shipment before filing any lost package claims.

Package Tracking

Our UPS pickup is typically around 3PM CST. After your order has been shipped we will send tracking via email. Orders may alternatively be tracked by logging into your account and clicking on the recent orders link. If the order has been placed by phone please call us toll free at 1-866-667-5965 to obtain your tracking information. Packages shipped through the USPS do not have a tracking number, however we will gladly send the delivery confirmation number upon request. Please note that tracking may take up to 24 hours after shipment before it shows accurate information via USPS.

Return Policy


In the event you are unhappy with your purchase please call us within 7 days of delivery to receive a return authorization and instructions for sending your item back to us. We feel a 7 day inspection period is enough time to evaluate your item(s) and decide if you want to keep them or not. RA numbers issued are valid for 10 days. All returns are handled by phone only.

All returned items must be factory new, unused, in their original box with all factory paperwork, plastic sleeves and additional materials included.

Exchanges

Items may be exchanged within 7 days for items of the same monetary value. We do not charge a restocking fee for exchanges, however additional shipping charges will apply.

Refunds

Refunds may be issued for the original purchase price less a $10.00 fee to cover labor, shipping and transactions fees. Refunds are issued upon receipt of goods, and are issued using the same form of payment received. Please allow 5-7 days for processing to your credit card account. We do not reimburse shipping costs on items returned for refund for any reason.

Defective Items

Defective items may be returned for exchange only. Should you be unhappy with the quality of your purchase you may return it for a refund under our refund policy. We ask all concerns regarding product quality be addressed prior to ordering via the comments field or by calling customer service.


Excessive abuse of our return policy may result in a 15% restocking fee at our discretion.



Shipping Errors

In the event we make a mistake we will do our best to make it right and cover any additional shipping charges. Please note we only ship ground in this situation. If the customer wishes to expedite his/her package they may do so at an additional cost. This includes items needed as gifts.
