• C60 Carbon Steel Head - Carbon steel takes a keen edge and comes back fast on a file or a stone, which matters more on an axe than long edge retention. Hardened to 47-55 HRC, it stays tough enough to shrug off a knot. Wipe it dry after use and give it a light coat of oil to keep rust off.
• Green Stripe Hickory Handle - US-sourced hickory is shaped with an ergonomic curve and coated in black anti-slip paint with a green stripe running its length. The head is set with a wood wedge and a round metal wedge, the traditional two-wedge mount that keeps it seated.
