Alan Folts Custom Prototype Chival Damascus and C-Tek

This Alan Folts Chival Prototype is one of two made. An interesting small folder with a raised back handle and shape that conforms to the users palm. The resin infused aluminum honeycomb handle material has an attractive look that grabs attention. The Blade: Chad Nichols Reptilian Damascus pattern is very striking and seem to blend right into the honeycomb pattern of the C-Tek. The Sheepsfoot blade shape is dominated by a raised swedge that drops back down before rising back up to create a raised thumb ramp. Strategically placed jimping on the ramp and on the bottom of the blade where the index finger sits gives the user control while cutting and inspires confidence. Attached dual thumb studs enables ambidextrous deployment and have been bronzed to match the other titanium hardware.

The Handle: Superconductor C-Tek handle scales are mated to superconductor bolsters that continue the honeycomb pattern of the C-Tek. Beveled and relieved liner has jimping for traction to make unlocking almost an after thought. Solid titanium backspacer and the full titanium liners are all bronzed to compliment the brown C-Tek handle material. Small and compact design slips right in the pocket for daily carry.
