The Alan Folts Sultan arrives in polished Black G10, its hand engraved titanium bolster and clip framing a sweeping tumbled CPM-154 scimitar that earns a long look in any display case.

• Hand Engraved Titanium Bolster and Clip — Alan Folts cuts each pattern into the titanium by hand. The bolster and pocket clip wear fine, detailed scrollwork instead of a stamped or machined design. No two come off the bench looking exactly alike.
• CPM-154 Tumbled Scimitar Blade — The Persian-style blade blends a clip point Bowie tip with a deep, sweeping belly. A low-shine tumbled gray finish hides scratches and fingerprints. The high hollow grind keeps the edge thin and quick through material.
• Polished Black G10 Handle — Layered black G10 takes a smooth polish that feels solid in the hand and does not snag a pocket. The dark scales frame the bright titanium liners and the engraved bolster, putting the metalwork front and center.

About Alan Folts

Alan Folts is a custom knifemaker who works by hand out of a shop in Palm Bay, Florida. He found metalwork as a teenager, shaping jewelry from copper and brass before moving into forged blades. An early knife of his took Best of Show at a student art competition, and he went on to make knives full time after settling in North Carolina in the mid-1990s. That sculpture background still drives the work, from flowing handle shapes to warm anodized hardware, and he pays it forward by teaching the craft to newer makers whenever his time allows.
