The Benchmade Adamas line of folders was designed by custom knife maker Shane Sibert in collaboration with Major Jeff Strueker of the US Armed Forces. Major Strueker is a decorated war veteran who served in the armed forces from 1987-2011, mostly in the 75th Ranger Regiment, and is a huge fan of Benchmade knives. Now offered in a fully automatic version, the Auto Adamas has the same robust construction with the added benefit of lightening fast automatic deployment. This version comes with black G10 handles and a black coated, D2 tool steel blade.

Blade: The drop-point D2 tool steel blade offers proven cutting ability and ease of sharpening in the field with a tough, mid-height saber grind for durability. The blade is finished with a durable, corrosion resistant and non-reflective poly-ceramic Black Cerakote. Fast, automatic and ambidextrous deployment is achieved with a simple pull of the AXIS lock bar.
Handle: Machined, black G10 handle scales are attached to skeletonized black oxide stainless steel liners offering a tough build and generous grip for even the largest gloved hands. The milled holes in the skeletonized handles enhance traction in the hand paired with strategic jimping. The ambidextrous AXIS lock is proved as one of the toughest and most reliable locks while being simple to operate. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment.
Carries via a reversible, tip-up deep carry pocket clip or heavy duty Black Nylon MOLLE sheath.
Benchmade donates a portion of the proceeds to the Ranger Assistance Foundation which provides assistance to family and friends of men killed or wounded in action from the US Army's 75th Ranger Regiment.
D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
