Benchmade 391BK SOCP Folder Black

Designed by Greg Thompson, the Benchmade 391BK SOCP folder is a first-option, battle-blade ideal for on or off-duty carry. The 391BK is an affordable, fast deploying folder that compliments the fixed blade options of the SOCP family. This version comes with Black molded CF-Elite composite handles over steel liners and a plain edge, black Cerakote coated, D2 tool steel blade.

Blade: The blade is made from D2 tool steel for a good combination of toughness, edge retention and corrosion resistance which is further enhanced by the durable, non-reflective, black poly-ceramic Cerakote coating. The blade opens via an ambidextrous thumb disk on a smooth washer pivot. The dagger-like, spear point blade has nearly 4" of razor sharp cutting edge and a powerful piercing tip.

Handle: A stainless steel liner construction supports high-traction Black molded CF-Elite handle scales with finger divots and multiple sections of jimping delivering security in the hand even in highly adverse conditions. The neutral design means the handle is comfortable in multiple grips for utility or defensive use. Fully ambidextrous, the AXIS lock is smooth, reliable and one of the strongest locks around. A partial back spacer protects the edge when the knife is closed. A large hole is provided for lanyard attachment and a carbide glass breaker in the pommel delivers added utility (tool and Loctite included).

Carries via a black oxide finished, 4-Position, deep carry pocket clip or the included Mini deep carry clip with quick-draw ring.

D2 Tool Steel: An Air-hardened tool steel developed to cut other steel, this American made steel offers fantastic toughness and edge retention for hard use applications. It is, however, a semi-stainless, so care is required to prevent corrosion.
