Benchmade 583SBK Barrage Tanto Black Part Serrated 154CM Assisted AXIS Lock Folder

The first Benchmade with AXIS Assist technology, the Barrage is a practical daily carry folder with fast and decisive deployment. Fully ambidextrous, the Barrage has a rugged Valox polymer handle over stainless steel liners for solid reliability and the indomitable and easy to operate AXIS lock mechanism. This version has a black partially serrated 154CM stainless steel Tanto blade.

Blade: Ideal for piercing and flat surface work, the Tanto blade comes with a high saber grind for strength and performance with a section of partial serrations for added versatility. Durable and non-reflective black coating resists wear and enhances corrosion resistance on the 154CM blade. Assisted deployment is snappy and unhesitating via the dual thumb studs. 

Handle: Skeletonized stainless steel liners support lightweight and durable contoured polymer scales for a comfortable grip. Scallops and grooves provides solid traction along with the jimped back spacer. The ambidextrous AXIS lock is smooth and solid backed by a slide safety for added security in use and carry.

Carries via a reversible stainless steel pocket clip.

Crucible 154CM: Originally developed as a stainless bearing steel, 154CM is an improved version of 440C with added molybdenum that offers improved resistance to pitting from corrosion and higher hardness for better edge retention. Similar to Hitachi ATS-34.
