The Blade: The Reverse Tanto blade of CPM S30V offers upgraded edge retention over the original Rift while still maintaining a high level of corrosion resistance and toughness for worry free use. The very high height saber grind provides exceptional slicing capability while the reverse Tanto point offers a high level of strength in piercing tasks. The black coating offers a discreet, non-reflective and corrosion resistant finish. Dual thumb studs paired with phosphor bronze washers and the AXIS lock mechanism for fast, smooth, ambidextrous deployment even with gloves on.

The Handle: The star of the show on the 950BK-1801 Rift are the layered Black Carbon Fiber and Blue G10 handle scales which offer all the ergonomic performance of the original with a lighter weight and distinctive visual appeal. The stainless liners are coated black, matching the hardware and blade and house the ambidextrous and stout AXIS lock mechanism for secure operation.

Carries via a Reversible (tip-up), stainless steel split arrow clip with black oxide finish.

CPM S30V: A martensitic, powdered stainless steel with high levels of wear and corrosion resistance. Its chemistry promotes the formation and even distribution of vanadium carbides, which are harder and more effective at cutting than chromium carbides. This gives it a very refined grain, further improving the sharpness and toughness. S30V is a great, all around steel with high levels of performance.
