The Blade: CPM S90V comes with a black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating that offers a non-reflective finish that is tough as nails, highly corrosion resistance and easy to maintain. S90V holds a edge for a long time so you won't need to worry about sharpening mid-task. Optimally placed jimping at the spine of the blade near the tip and the handle enhance control and security in multiple grips while an integral guard keeps your fingers safe from slippage.

The Handle: Most of the handle is simply the full tang of the blade with some well placed jimping and a lanyard hole for added security. Layered Carbon Fiber and G10 are combined to form Micro-Scales that provide added security and control with minimal increase to footprint or weight. A bright orange anodized washer adorned the scale hardware for a subtle, classy highlight. The exposed handle, like the blade, has a robust, black DLC coating.

CPM S90V: is a martensitic stainless steel that provides excellent wear resistance and good corrosion resistance. CPM S90V offers much better wear resistance than 440C or D-2. Corrosion resistance equals or exceeds 440C with a slight increase in toughness. High carbon and vanadium content forms small, hard vanadium carbides, delivering wear resistance, while leaving the chromium free to provide the corrosion resistance.
